An Original Story in an Original Time

Now available on the online store Sellfy is an original story written by Rob Cain. Titled ORGY HOUSE it tells the tale of a young girl’s journey to Rome where she meets her aunt Hilaria. This is a story about the harsh realities of the ancient world told like a fairy tale. It is in Rome that Ninus (protagonist) meets her destiny. This is Homeric storytelling for the plebian class. You can imagine it being told around the fire on a dark night. Pretend to be a traveler on your way to Rome, and you meet a female storyteller sitting by a fire. Pay your fee, and let her transport you another world. It starts with 3 knocks on a door, and from there the story really takes off.

Melanie Stace, a talented singer and actress provides the narration to this odd tale of dreamscapes. It’s only 30 minutes, and makes a nice distraction on the commute to the office, and will haunt you for the rest of the day.
Where is this available?
Go to the on line store SELLFY:

When you go to the on-line store SELLFY, find the shop called the THE NOTEBOOKS OF THE ROBIAD. The shop is just off the Appian Way and near the Tavern Pan. It’s kept by a grey-bearded legio veteran. His inventory is a little limited right now, but eventually the shop will feature a whole catalogue of tales available for purchase. Keep in touch with the blog Rob Cain’s Ancient Rome Refocused™ (here) and the Facebook Group Page Ancient Rome Refocused for updates of new tales and stories for your consideration.
ORGY HOUSE comes from a novel I wrote called Roman Brothel Trilogy. It’s about 3 old men that meet up every Saturnalia to tell lies to each other. ORGY HOUSE is a flashback in the book. I hope you enjoy the preparation to make this chapter into an audio presentation.
If you get a chance, say hello to the old veteran that runs the place. Tell him that Rob Cain, says “Salve” .
